About the Recipe
This is our favorite way to prepare broccoli. It's sweet, savory, and unctious. You can skip the blanching step but the final product will not be as flavorful. You can sweeten the sauce mix if you want it a bit sweeter.
Ingredients
2 heads broccoli
2 tbsp soy sauce
1/4 cup oyster sauce
1 tsp fish sauce (optional)
Sesame oil
Sesame seeds
Preparation
Separate the broccoli florets into small chunks, peel and chop the stems
Blanch the broccoli in boiling water for 1-2 minutes, then transfer to an ice bath
Drain the broccoli
Add sesame oil to a pan over medium high heat
Add the broccoli and sauté for 1-2 minutes
Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and fish sauce
Continue to cook for 2 minutes or until sauce thickens
Sprinkle with sesame seeds to finish
